The gig was really good... it's interesting, this guy I'm playing with had like an Americana/Alt-Country kind of thing going on... but his lap steel guitar player left the band and they replaced him with me. So... obviously, everything has taken on a different flavor. I'm told the shows are much more energetic now and have taken on a more blues-rock sound. The singer is a really good singer and has a lot of stage presence. Some of it is not to my taste, but the audiences eat it up. He has them on their feet dancing, singing along, the whole bit... The guitar player is smokin'... and very tasteful in his playing. Bass player is super solid too... I'm having a lot of fun playing with them. This is them (before me)... the guy on the 12 string electric is no longer in the band. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUJa8DzIO6s&feature=plcpThe opening act had this guy Chico Huff on bass who is my favorite bass player, maybe ever... he's that good. The guy she had on guitar just came off of tour with Esperenza Spalding. So it was a pretty stellar band.

I'd be interested to hear how your contribution to the group shifts them out of the style in this youtube clip. They're a good tight band. If anything turns up on youtube with you playing with them - please post - I'd like to hear.
