6am at the office! Happy Halloween, hosers!!! Sister Mary Lee ready for another day on the wheel. Pray for me. (while I do recognize this falls outside the parameters of the forum guidelines, I think we could all use a little halloween group hug)

If you've spent 8 years in Catholic school, then you REALLY know what frightening/terrifying is...

If you've spent 8 years in Catholic school, then you REALLY know what frightening/terrifying is... 12 years of Catholic school plus 4 years in a Christian Brother university.

Random Catholic Theology question of the day.
Jimmy Cliff sings "I'm sitting here in limbo/But my faith will lead me on". But doesn't being in limbo preclude personal faith?

Got a nice Halloween surprise this morning when my daughter chipped one of her few adult teeth pretty badly, so we had to spend an hour at the dentist together. The funny thing is, we had a dentist appointment already scheduled for her this morning but had to cancel it due to other obligations. Ended up there anyway.

We usually try to schedule the dentist appointments for right after Halloween.

I actauly had 9 as my first year of high school was Bishop Amat. But after moving south to San Diego to what was voted as "America's Most Liberal High School"... um... let's say I lost my way. But 12 plus 4?!?!?! Shouldn't you be personal friends with Jesus or something by now. Just understand who's holding the ruler today you dirty boy!!! Sorry.

We don't do Halloween, so I don't understand the nun's gear. Most alluring however Mr. Knight. I thought it was all witches and pumpkin lanterns. All I know is that it originated in Europe as Walpurgisnacht.

All I know is that it originated in Europe as Walpurgisnacht. Correct. And Walpurgisnacht was the sound my 2nd grade nun/teacher made when she sneezed and it would literally scare the hell out of me. So I just figured... No. We're allowed to where any sort of "fancy dress" as you guys call it. It doesn't have to be scary. And I'm not saying my wasn't. Scary, I mean.
