The first verse, I thought could be simplified a bit. I sang it a few times with some simplified lyrics but I just had to stick with the original vox. Sometimes the feel of a take trumps everything and I just couldn't get another take that felt right. going forward, with this tune, I would avoid some of the regular accoutrements your songs Definitely took this to heart. Added another acoustic guitar....strummed chords tight to the bridge.....and some additional harmonics. Let the bass come in very late as the lead in the instrumental break. Brought in a kick soon after. That's it. I like this one now. Thanks to all. If You Fall

You know what? I suck. I just now realized I hadn't listened to this yet. How the hell does that happen?
Anyway, this is really nice. I mean, really really nice. Your vocals sound amazing... and the arrangement has enough Lenny in it to remind us all that you wrote it, but a nice smooth continuity to it (helped along by that fretless bass). Beautiful.

Man, I LOVE that strum just after the bass comes in.
I still wish a few of those overdone lines were more unique, but this is a fantastic song, Len.

(helped along by that fretless bass). Wanted to mention....that bass is an old Gibson EB3. It has the original felt dampener on the bridge....always wanted to use it like this.
