BTW, I really like the way Avery plays the changes in both the tunes I've heard. He tends to have his note choice reflect the chord porgression as opposed to a straight blues player just focusing in on the key. Very cool. Perfect choice for your stuff.

Yep... he was really focused on the chords, and was running through chordal arpeggios (is that the right term?) before coming up with his parts.
He's an awesome player.

Thanks - that articulates for me why I get bored out of my skull listening to lead players who can only do pentatonic, and why I love listening to the likes of Pat Metheny and Ralph Towner.

This is an older one, but I had my friend Avery re-cut the guitar solo. Big improvement I think. Agreed. It sounds great. I'm glad you decided to revisit this one.
